Clips, not tape
Rubber-coated magnetic clips hold the string to steel body panels, so there's no adhesive and no tape residue.

USB-powered light strings with app control: warm white for the drive home, color for the meet.

Lift the clips off, coil the string and store it all in the pouch for next year.
The Holiday Light Kit is in development; joining the list doesn't commit you to anything. Magnets hold on steel panels only (not aluminum, fiberglass or plastic). Wipe the panel clean first and try a hidden spot. Not for wrapped or freshly painted cars until tested. Lighting rules differ by state: many ban red or blue lights visible from the front, and flashing lights. Check your local laws before driving with lights on.
